Wazygoose and Data Protection

Wazygoose Limited is committed to handling personal data responsibly and transparently. This page explains how we approach data protection under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

For full details of what data we collect and how we use it, please read our Privacy Policy.

Our role

Wazygoose acts in two capacities depending on the context:

As a data processor — when a club uses Wazygoose to manage its members, bookings, and leagues, the club is the data controller for its members’ personal data. Wazygoose processes that data on the club’s behalf, only as necessary to provide the service.

As a data controller — Wazygoose is the data controller for information collected directly from users during registration, and for information generated through use of the platform — such as booking history and payment records. We are also the data controller for data relating to club administrators and their subscriptions.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

Right of access — you can view your personal data at any time from your account profile, or request a copy by contacting us.

Right of rectification — if any of your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can correct it in your account profile. Alternatively, contact your club administrator or contact us directly.

Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting your club administrator or by contacting us directly at [email protected]. We will action erasure requests promptly, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.

Right to data portability — you can request a copy of your personal data in a portable format by contacting us.

Right to object — you can update your communication preferences at any time from your account profile. To object to other forms of processing, contact us directly.

Right to restrict processing — in certain circumstances you have the right to ask us to restrict how we process your data while a complaint is resolved.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] or contact your club administrator in the first instance.

How we protect your data

All data is hosted on servers located in the United Kingdom. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell personal data to any third party.

Access to personal data within the platform is restricted on a per-club basis — club administrators and members can only access data belonging to their own club.

Sub-processors

To deliver the Wazygoose service, we use the following third-party sub-processors. Each is bound by data processing agreements and operates in compliance with UK GDPR or equivalent legislation.

Amazon Web Services — Simple Email Service Transactional email delivery (booking confirmations, league notifications, membership emails) EU — Ireland (eu-west-1)

Cookies

Wazygoose uses cookies to make the platform work and to understand how it is used. Some cookies are strictly necessary — without them the site cannot function. Others are used for analytics and third-party services such as payment processing.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of this page.

A full explanation of the cookies we use is available in our Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. When a member account is deleted, personal data is removed from active systems. Some records — such as payment history and anonymised usage data — may be retained for longer periods where required by law or legitimate business need. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Supervisory authority

If you have a concern about how Wazygoose handles your personal data and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
