There were 22 entries to this year’s Fun Christmas Doubles on 27th December. The 11 pairs were split into 2 round robin groups, with the top 2 in each group progressing to semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, Keith Linsley and Zoe Shipsey won a close match against the Tudor siblings (Ben and Beth) and Bob Aynsley and Leo Blackett prevailed against Dave North and Sam Tufton.
The final was also a close match, with Keith and Zoe coming back strongly but narrowly losing out against Bob and Leo. Final score was 15-12.
However, Keith didn’t go to the bar empty handed, wining a drinks voucher for Best Dressed Festive Playing Outfit.
In between games, players enjoyed mulled wine and snacks, kindly arranged by Michelle Robertson (supplemented by snack donations from other players).
