What a night we had yesterday as we welcomed the knights.
With a packed crowed Phil and James put up a good fight but both lost out 3-0 to some strong opponents.
Next on court saw Jospeh who after losing the first game took a lead in the second and really used his skill to put some pressure on but narrowly lost that game. Joseph had covered a lot of court and the third game was one too far again losing 3-0.
Paul was on next and after losing the first game he came back strong to take the next 2 and give the crowd on both sides lots to cheer. The knight didnt give up without a fight and managed to take the fourth to bring the match back equal. It was even all the way through the fifth until Paul managed to sneak a lead and ultimately take a very close fought match 3-2.
Last up we had home hero Ben who had been warned he was up against a shot player who could cover the court - everyone’s worst nightmare! The knight took the first game but Ben came back and showed why he is the best in Cumbria. The next 2 games really did give the crowd a treat with the squash and court coverage on offer from both. Ben put up a great fight but it was not to be with another 3-1 win to the knights.
We may have lost 4-1 but a cracking night was had by all!
