Internal Leagues

As from the start of the next internal league cycle (17th October onwards) you will be able to enter your scores online using the Wazygoose Squash Site (where you book your courts). The paper version on the notice board will still be used for the time being but could be phased out over the next few months. If you have any problems using the site or have any questions regarding the internal leagues please contact Wayne Eastaugh.

Light Machine

The light machine is now operational again (hoping it stays that way). We have had extensive problems with the machine since the squash club renovations. Firstly it was not working at all and despite the endeavours of Ian Lumsden and Dave (`Computer Dave`) Mallet could not be repaired. It was then sent away to a contractor in the Midlands for repair. When it was returned it needed re-programming which was problematical and took some time. The machine is vital to the smooth running of the squash section and it seems to be delicate so please treat it with care. A great deal of thanks must be given to Ian Lumsden and Dave Mallet for their time, persistence and ingenuity when tacking this problem.

Court bookings/Cancellations

There have been a few instances lately of members booking courts and not using the booking. This is unfair on the rest of the members as court time is now at a premium with team matches and coaching starting for season 2011-2012. With the booking system we have it is easy to cancel courts that are not needed. We will continue to monitor this situation and any persistent offenders could see their booking rights suspended by the committee.

Northumbria Open

The Northumbria County Squash Committee has decided to hold an open squash tournament on November 25-27th. See Northumbria Open Squash Tournament 2011 Entry Form.
