There was a great turnout for the Christmas fun doubles tournament on 28th December - 30 entrants of all ages and abilities (including over 60s, pre-teenagers, 1st team players and beginners). We also welcomed back a couple of ex-members (Jude Furniss and John Lennox junior) - maybe they have got the bug back and will rejoin?
After a safety briefing, the 15 pairs were put into 3 groups of 5 to play round robin matches. After over 2 hours of frantic (and often hilarious) squash, the points were added up and the group winners were presented with their prizes:
Mark Dinsley/Felix Fletcher, Keith Linsley/Dylan Younger, Dave North/Mark Birch-Machin.
After finishing off the mulled wine, several participants retired to the bar (with the remaining mince pies) to replace lost fluids.
