It has been decided to hold a Referee training workshop for both the good of the Northumbria Squash Leagues and the recent addition of a PSL team to the region that has highlighted the shortage of Referees in the region.
Martin Roberts is the ES coordinator of Referee training and has agreed to facilitate a course on Sunday 3rd of February 2019 the venue is yet to be decided but is likely to be Tynemouth or The Northumberland club.
Martin has outlined the following in his email ‘I do not stipulate any limits for the number of candidates attending, only that you will require a room large enough to comfortably seat everyone; I have instructed as few as four and as many as eighty plus. Courts or players are not required as video examples will be used. If any equipment is available at the venue such as a digital projector, projector screen, flip chart and easel, I would appreciate the use of them but, if not available I have no problem bringing these items with me. I would suggest you consider the timing on a Sunday to start at say 11.00 a.m. with a short break and concluding approx. 3.30 p.m.‘
