With only one or two matches left for most of our teams, here is the latest news and standings:
Ladies League:
Ladies 1B - thanks to a recent 20-0 win over Newcastle Uni Ladies, Ladies 1B top the Premier Division and are in a strong position to win the title and will almost certainly be in the end of season Northumbria Cup for the top 4 ladies teams
Ladies 1A/Ladies 3 - Ladies 1A top Division 1 and are in a strong position to be promoted; Ladies 3 have slipped to 5th place following a couple of losses. Both are still in the Ladies League Cup.
Men's League
Northern 1 and 2 - although Tynemouth 1 have clinched the title, Northern 1 (helped in the 2nd half by having Cai Younger playing and Andrew Shipley back from injury) are in 3rd place in the Premier Division and look likely for the Northumbria Cup; Northern 2 (despite a recent win over Northumbria 1) will finish in the relegation places
Northern 3 - still top Division 1 and are looking good for the title and promotion to the Premier Division. Also still in Men's League Cup A
Northern 4 - have slipped to 3rd place in Division 2 and now likely to miss out on promotion
Northern 5 - currently 5th in Division 4 with a chance of finishing 4th which would mean they would have a play off for promotion. Still in Men's League Cup B
Northern 6 - currently in 7th place in Division 5 and (with 3 teams below them) are likely to stay in this league
Northern Juniors - currently 5th in Division 6 and likely to stay in this league (although have an outside chance of finishing 3rd and being involved in a promotion play-off)
