SquashLevels National Rankings Integration

We partner with SquashLevels, the UK's national squash ranking system operated by SquashLevels Ltd, to maintain accurate national rankings and support the development of squash. This integration helps you track your progress, compare your performance with players across the UK, and supports the broader squash community.

What data we share

Basic Match Data (Shared by Default)

As part of standard league administration, we share the following information with SquashLevels:

  • Your name (first name and surname)
  • Match results (scores and outcomes)
  • Match dates
  • Club name
  • Gender
  • Competition/league name

This data sharing is based on our legitimate interest in supporting national squash rankings and is consistent with standard practice across sports leagues. Your basic match results are already published on the Wazygoose website as part of league administration.

Enhanced Data (Only with Your Consent)

With your explicit consent, we may also share:

  • Your date of birth (for accurate age category rankings such as O35, O40, O45, etc.)
  • Your England Squash membership number (format: ES1234567 – to link your results across different clubs and competitions)

You can provide or withdraw consent for enhanced data sharing at any time through your Data Sharing Preferences page in your account settings.

Why we consider basic data sharing appropriate

We've carefully balanced your privacy rights against our legitimate interest in sharing basic match results with SquashLevels. We believe this sharing is appropriate because:

  • Match results are already published publicly on Wazygoose for league administration
  • National rankings are a fundamental part of competitive squash
  • This is standard practice across all sports leagues in the UK
  • You retain the right to opt out at any time
  • Only necessary data is shared (names, scores, dates, clubs)

Your rights

You have the right to:

Opt out: You can opt out of having your match results shared with SquashLevels entirely. When you opt out, your opponents may see "Anonymous Opponent" on SquashLevels for matches with you. Please note that your results will still be published on Wazygoose as required for league administration.

Withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent for enhanced data sharing at any time. This does not affect basic match data sharing unless you opt out completely.

Timing of changes: Changes to your data sharing preferences (opt-out or consent withdrawal) take effect within 24 hours. SquashLevels polls our system nightly, so changes may not be reflected immediately on their platform.

Access your data: You can request what data SquashLevels holds about you by contacting SquashLevels directly through their website or via their privacy policy page.

Request deletion: You can request that SquashLevels delete your data by contacting them directly. Note that deletion may affect your historical ranking data. We can help facilitate deletion requests if needed – contact us at contactus@wazygoose.com.

To manage your SquashLevels data sharing preferences, visit your Data Sharing Preferences page in your account settings.

Data security

Match data is transmitted to SquashLevels via secure HTTPS/TLS encrypted connection. Each data transmission is authenticated using secure header-based authentication to prevent unauthorised access.

Important privacy protections:

  • Your date of birth is write-only on SquashLevels – it's used only for age calculations and cannot be viewed by anyone, including SquashLevels administrators
  • If you opt out of SquashLevels sharing in Wazygoose but later register directly on SquashLevels or have results from other sources, you can control your visibility preferences directly on the SquashLevels website

SquashLevels is a separate data controller and maintains their own privacy practices. For information about how SquashLevels processes your data, please see their privacy policy at https://app.squashlevels.com/doc?doc=privacy_policy.htm.

Data location

SquashLevels stores data on servers located in the United Kingdom. No international data transfers are involved in this integration.

Data retention

Match results shared with SquashLevels are retained by them to maintain historical rankings and ensure continuity of ranking data over time. When you grant enhanced data consent, we share your historical match results along with current results to provide a complete ranking history. If you subsequently withdraw consent or opt out, future matches will not be shared, but historical data already shared with SquashLevels may remain on their system. For information about SquashLevels' specific data retention policies or to request deletion of historical data, please contact SquashLevels directly.
