There was success recently for two juniors from Northern at the Regional junior squash championships.
In the under 13 boys event, Andrew Shipley and Harry Little battled past players from Durham, Cleveland and Yorkshire to get to the final. Andrew and Harry both play for Northern`s junior boys teams that represent the club in the county leagues where Andrew is ranked one place above Harry - on this occasion however it was Harry who came out on top with a 3 - 1 win.
To have two players from the same club in the final was unusual and if fact they even go to the same school, Gosforth East Middle school and Northern can be very proud!
