The Newcastle Northern junior player of the month for January is Kieran Mahoney.
Kieran is dedicated to his squash and plays most days, including getting up at 6am three times a week to attend our morning squash sessions.
Early in January Kieran stepped in at the last minute to make his debut for the Junior 2nd team that plays in the county leagues… a great achievement at only 12 years old. He has also recently joined the club leagues to improve his game.
The decision for Kieran to be junior player of the month was made just before the last weekend of January but then to cap it all Kieran went to Hull on the 30th/31st January and won his first ever under 13 bronze event.
Well done Kieran … a richly deserved award!
