Two Northern juniors have seen off the cream of Northumberland to be crowned county champions.
10-year-old Aanya Hamilton won the Girls Under 11s at the 2012 County Closed, while Cai Younger, 16, triumphed in the Boys Under 19 competition.
Hamilton saw off a strong challenge from fast-improving Lucy Anderson, winning a thrilling match 3-1 to beat her Northern clubmate to the top prize.
Younger beat Hexham's Simon Graham, 17, in the crucial match in his section - this one a 5-set nail-biter. Both players played some superb winners, but the Northern player clinched it 11-9 in the fifth.
Aside from Lucy Anderson, Northern also produced three more runners-up - Harry Little, Sam Broughton and Tegan Younger.
Harry Little finished second in a strong Boys Under 11 section (Northern's Andrew Shipley was close behind in third) - a tournament won by Jesmond's Max Forster.
The in-form Sam Broughton clinched runners-up spot in the Boys Under 15s (to Tynemouth's Jamie Todd).
Tegan Younger was runner-up (to Jesmond's Georgia Webster) in the Girls Under 15s event, with clubmate Josie Barker third - while Sophie Noble finished third in the Girls Under 19s.
Younger picked up a second trophy with the Girls Under 17 Plate, while other Northern Plate winners were Matty Watling (Boys Under 17s, having beaten clubmate Jack Cornell in the final), Matty's sister Ellie Watling (Girls Under 15), Liam Duncan Kahn (Boys Under 13s) and Matthew Dyter (Boys Under 11).
