Junior School festival

It's great to be taking our school squash sessions back out into the community after a long COVID break. Today it was the turn of the year 5 kids at Gosforth East Middle school. Having taken their PE lessons for the last four weeks, we invited 4 boys and 4 girls from each class to come back to the club to learn about real squash. The kids were delighted because it all happened during school time ... no Maths, Science or English for these kids today! During the morning we showed the children how to play and then they had an inter class competition , which 5SR won but I think all the kids had a great time. We'll see how many of these children join our junior squads and whether or not some of them might become the next Michael Mattimore or Josie Barker... fingers crossed!
