Today we held our last junior festival of the 2021 / 22 season. 18 boys and 18 girls from year 5 at Gosforth Junior Academy came to Northern for a festival of squash where coaches showed them how to play our exciting sport. They spent the morning learning the skills required and then we held an inter class competition after lunch, for the record 5A beat 5S in the final.
This festival was the culmination of 4 weeks working in the school's sports hall, working with the children on their eye/hand co-ordination and the 36 children seemed to really enjoy themselves.
Another successful year of school's outreach work has resulted in many new juniors joining our squads and we're already making plans to do the same again next season.
