About The Club
Ashbrooke Sports Club has long since been the home of sport in Sunderland. Set in the Victorian suburb of Ashbrooke the club is just ten minutes’ walk from the city centre and has housed numerous sports clubs since it opened its doors in 1887.
The Club is currently home to bowls, cricket, football, hockey, rugby, running, squash and tennis. To find out more about these sports visit the sport page from the menu.
Alongside the sports offered, we have two excellent bars, an Italian Restaurant (Diego's) and a fully equipped function room on site.
We hold many regular social gatherings and annual events. If you are looking for a great venue for a family celebration look no further. Please refer to our Functions heading for details.
The clubs major annual events are a Beer Festival, and the long established Fireworks display.
