Stepped in the considerable shoes of Chairman Ben Robinson, when no one else could be found, late 2019.

Played for many years, but retired at the bottom of a deep trough, only to reignite my squash enthusiasm, and find that the trough could go much deeper.

  • Jonathan Mote

    Jonathan Mote: Safeguarding Officer

    Tel: 07724 814657 / Email: info@ashbrookesports.org

    • The Child protection role is an independent role to the Squash committee. Jono is in place, so that anyone with concerns around inappropriate behaviour during coaching sessions, can report these, with the knowledge that they will be taken seriously and followed through.
    • Whilst primarily focused on children's coaching, Jono can also be contacted for concerns about poor adult behaviour in the squash club.
    • We have adopted the England Squash framework for investigating these incidents.

Jono first started playing squash properly when he joined Sunderland squash club 2 years ago, having dabbled in almost every sport under the sun. He still tries to make up for his poor racquet skills by running around like a headless chicken. Though a Lancastrian, he's quickly becoming a Mackem at heart (though his accent might not show it yet).
