We've had Courtcraft at the club for a week to clean our courts and they are dazzling. All courts have had all walls cleaned as well as the floors sanded and we know you will all agree what a fantastic job has been done.
Unfortunately recently we've had a few issues with people going on court with old crumbling grips so this could not have come at a better time. For those who are not aware if a racket has not been used for years and no moisture has got into the grip it gets very dry, as years pass by this gets worse and when you do eventually use the racket the grip starts the crumble in your hands and on to the floor. Your shoes rub this in to the floor and it leaves a very unique residue on the floor. We cannot stress if your hand is dirty your making marks on the floor so please come off court immediately. This also applies to black soled shoes and shoes worn outside. Members it is your responsibility to check non members equipment.
As we have now spent thousands of pounds on the courts we ask you to be extra cautious of this going forward.
Our team are doing daily hoover and mops of the court floors as they will be a little slippy at first so please be aware.
