The Northern Junior of the year is Shae Paterson.
Shae started playing squash at Northern after she used to come along as an eight year old to watch her older sister play.
She has had great success as a junior player, representing the county at every age group and at the younger age groups she was ranked in the top ten in the country. She has represented Northern 1st team in the county leagues for the last couple of years and is now a two time club champion.
Shae has made a massive difference to the club in the last couple of years as a coach. She took her level 1 coaching qualification as soon as she turned 16 and then started assisting Bob Aynsley at his Sunday morning adult coaching. More recently she has taken her level 2 coaching award and whilst she is staying in Newcastle to do her degree, she has been added to our lead coaches to continue her work in the club as an individual coach and to lead some of our group coaching sessions.
Well done Shae ... another well deserved award
