Thirty year five boys and girls from Gosforth East Middle school came to Northern recently for a day off school to learn how to play squash. The festival was a culmination of a three week programme where Head of Junior development, Richard Vitty and Lead coach John Thompson delivered PE lessons in the school and picked out the boys and girls that demonstrated good aptitude, application and enthusiasm to come back to Northern to learn how to play squash on our courts.
The juniors learned how to play all the basic skills in the morning and then played a very exciting inter class competition in the afternoon. For the record 5SR were the winners , with 5CF in second place.
