The inaugural county summer leagues reached an exciting climax during the first week of September.
In Division A, Northern B and D teams finished 2nd and 3rd respectively (separated by just 5 points). As the B team couldn't field a team for the weekend play offs, the D team took their place , but lost in the semi final to the eventual play off winners (Northumberland Club).
In Division B, Northern C finish runners up, but also couldn't field a play off team so 3rd placed Eldon took their place. Northern a finished 4th.
Thanks to the captains (Lesley Vitty; Simn Babb; Warwick Davis) for managed their squads through the Summer months (a task which combined squad rotation early in the summer when everyone was available, to pleading with players to play or rearranging matches as the holiday season kicked in in August).
Overall a successful inaugural Summer League season, perhaps with some lessons learnt to take forward to next Summer.
Now onto the Winter Leagues.....
