The finale of the season long Dunlop challenge series was held recently at Tynemouth Squash Club and there were some excellent performances by Northern juniors.
The Dunlop challenge is a series of nine events held at Tynemouth, Jesmond and Eldon Square , where juniors accumulate bonus points during each event which help them win prizes at the end of the season.
The top three performers during the season win a Dunlop racket and this season two of them were Northern juniors – Adam Forster and Alfie Turpin.
The next best three performers win Dunlop Squash bags and all three were Northern juniors this season – Joe Clements , Joe Elliott and Rebecca Grogan.
Those that finish in positions 7 – 12 win Dunlop goggles and this season four of them were Northern players – Abigail Bedford , Katie Merlane, Harriet Wight and Kieran Mahoney.
