Following his England call up earlier this season, Michael Mattimore continued his run of good form by winning his third England Squash Silver sanctioned tournament of the season at Chapel Alleton squash club in Leeds.
Following his earlier wins at Abbeydale (Sheffield) and Edgbaston (Birmingham), Michael did this one in style without dropping a single game on his way to victory.
The first to suffer was Ross Singleton from Cumbria (ranked 30) then Kieran Heaphy from Notts (ranked 17) was dispatched in the quarter final. In the semi final he beat Ben Merchant from Yorks (ranked 10) and followed that up by defeating Ben`s Yorkshire team mate Nick Wall (ranked 5) in the final.
Michael has one more silver tournament at under 13 level in Nottingham and we wish him good luck with that.
