We are half way through the team season - here is a review of the first half.
Men's Leagues:
Premier Division - Newcastle University 1 (who are unbeaten) and Westoe 1 lead the division with Northern 1, lead by Liam Gutcher, in 3rd place with 5 wins out of 8. Northern 2 (captained by Mark Dinsley) are in 7th place win 3 wins.
Division 1 - Newcastle University 2 (also unbeaten) lead the division. Northern 3 (Derek Collins' and co.) have struggled in this division and are currently propping up the table.
Division 2 - Westoe 2 are top of this division with Northern Junior 2 mid-table (6th) win 4 wins out of 8
Division 3 - Boldon 1 (with 8 wins out of 8) top the division. Northern 4 (lead by Tim Barker) are in 4th place (with a 50% winning record).
Division 4 - Westoe 3 lead the way Northern 5 (captained by Stuart Mitchell) in 4th place (also with a 50% win ratio)
Division 5 - Ashington 1 are top with Northern Junior 2 in bottom place but in touch with the 2 teams above them
Division 6 - Primrose 3 are unbeaten at the top of this division - with Northern 6 (captained by Dave North) in 2nd place (having lost just once).
Ladies League:
Premier division - Northern Ladies 1 (lead by Lesley Vitty) head up this division - narrowly above Tynemouth 1. Northern Ladies 2 are in 4th place and retain their place in this division for the 2nd half.
Division 2 - Northern Ladies 3 (managed by Michelle Roberston) finished 2nd in this division behind Northumbria University Ladies and move into Division 1 for the 2nd half of the season (when the Ladies League splits into 3 Divisions)
