World Squash Day - Latest

Dave North - Wed 10 Oct 2012

Be a part of World Squash Day on Saturday 20th October 2012...

The Idea of this event is to try to get squash into the 2020 Olympic Games.

If you want to enter this fun event please send an email to dandjnorth@tesco.net or add your name to the list on the noticeboard behind court 1. Please let me know by Sunday 14th October, so teams can be sorted and match times scheduled. We are up to 16 entrants and it would be great if we could get this to at least 20 (ie minimum 10 v 10 team match)

We will start the matches at 5pm on Saturday 20th October. There will be 2 teams - it will be TEAM SQUASH v TEAM 2020. Each player will play best of 3 games with each game being up to 20 points using the ‘point per rally’ scoring method (sudden death at 19-19). There is no entry fee and no prizes - just the promise of a good game of squash! Individual match times will be posted on the noticeboard and emailed out by Monday 15th October (if the time allocated is inconvenient, you will be able to rearrange to another time on the same evening)

See worldsquashday.com for more details. At the time of writing there are over 400 clubs from all over the world that have entered.
