Squash Court Lights Payment System
After the introduction of the on line (Wazygoose) squash court booking system in September 2010 it became apparent that some members were not attending for their bookings or cancelling at late notice. With Northern squash Club being a successful club and the membership numbers near capacity most people were finding it difficult to book courts and were becoming frustrated and angry when they realised that peak time courts were not being used.
Added to this problem is the unreliability of the light machine which has broken down in the past and after extensive research it has found that an adequate replacement cannot be sourced.
This has led the Squash Committee to investigate and devise a completely new system.
The proposed basic details/benefits of the new system will be:-
- Member logs on to their Wazygoose account.
- Member is presented with their Account Homepage on which is marked the current balance of their booking funds.
- Member clicks on a link to charge-up their account and the system presents the member with the “Charge Your Account” page.
- Member selects how much money they want to add to their account (by a minimum of e.g. £20.00 and in pre-determined increments of e.g. £10.00), types their password (for security) and submits the request.
- Member is presented with the 3rd-party payment screen and enters their payment details (credit/debit card or PayPal) and submits the request.
- Member is presented with confirmation screen and receives an email with details of their payment
When a member arrives at the club at the appointed time for their game the squash court lights will automatically be ‘turned on’ For example court booked at 7pm lights will be on at 7pm and turn off at 7.40pm.
It is understood that members will have questions with regard to this new system and over the course of the next few months we will send out further newsletters with more extensive details of the system. It is hoped that the new system will be fair to all members and make playing squash at Northern an enjoyable experience. We propose to go ‘live’ with the new system on 1st June 2013.
