  1. Minutes of the AGM held 9th April 2018 were formally accepted.
  2. The following were elected:
  • D Leonard – Chair
  • M Forster – Secretary
  • M Shipley – Team Representative (R Hughes and M Barnes as deputies)
  • K Forster, N Woodward, T Coats, I Davies – Committee members
  1. M Shipley ran through the performances of the teams which competed in the Northumbria Squash Leagues and informed everyone that all team match results and individual player performances were available on the noticeboard in the squash corridor.
  2. I Davies mentioned that there were still a few Marston logo t-shirts to be sold and that everyone should spread the word around the club in order that they go as soon as possible.
  3. It was agreed that the squash committee would approach C Dumble and ask if he wished to sponsor the team t-shirts for another 2 years.
  4. M Shipley stated that a list is now on the noticeboard for anyone who wishes to play in the Northumbria Squash Summer Leagues.
  5. D Leonard explained that the away cricket changing room was currently being upgraded with separate shower and toilet facilities. Hopefully this will be finished ahead of the new cricket season.
  6. M Shipley pointed out that the squash membership now totalled 180 and that K Forster had received a note from the current club membership secretary (L Potter) stating the names of 15, possibly 16 cricket members. The number of Social members was not known. It was stated that squash juniors pay membership fees to the club but cricket juniors do not.
  7. M Shipley stated that England Squash had increased their memberships from £10 per player to £12.50p. This needs to be paid for each individual playing team squash and in the past the club has paid these fees. It was decided to review the payments to England Squash at the next squash section executive meeting.
  8. Meeting closed at 8pm.
