3 - MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
• Minutes of the Meeting 11th April 2023 agreed with amendment to para 5 AOB – the proposal for the purchase of team medals was made by Mick, not Kevin.
4 - MATTERS ARISING/ACTION POINTS
4.1 - Action Point Update
• 4.1 Marc has discussed with Dave North the possibility of an ex-pro exhibition match by Dave Barnett but he is currently injured and after further discussion the Committee are not keen to outlay the expense for an ex-pro visit.
• 4.2 In-house coaching by the club’s registered and qualified coaches (Kevin and Tracey) is now being advertised on the rolling TV adverts on Court 3.
• 4.4 Marc has spoken with Colin Dumble about the Ladies Changing room refurbishment now that the cladding has been purchased, and confirmed Colin could start in July for a cost of £150. However, Tracey said the ladies are keen to have the work started earlier and Kevin volunteered to begin work after the Cub coaching sessions finish on 17th May. In addition, Tracey mentioned new LED lights are also required.
• 4.4 Kevin confirmed he has spoken to Norman Broomfield about the upgrade of the roof above Courts 1 & 2 but Norman needs to discuss it further with his brother who would need to assist him and will then provide a definitive quote.
• 4.5 Marc confirmed the 50th Anniversary event is being advertised on the rolling TV adverts on Court 3.
• 5 Kevin confirmed the purchase of Division winner medals for the 2nd Team and also trophies for the 2023 Club Championship.
4.2 - Team Squash 2022/2023
• Marc confirmed that Boldon 3 won the play-off to stay in Division 3.
• He also reported that 2 teams are being entered into the Summer Leagues.
o Fixtures are expected by the end of May; teams play Jun-Aug; finals night to be held prior to start of new season.
4.3 - Dashboard
• Marc did a walkthrough of the Dashboard reporting membership renewal is 187 to date. He advised the Committee that £1,192.50 has been transferred to the Club Treasurer for court bookings and £161.50 for squash memberships.
4.4 - Squash club maintenance/improvement
• Kevin reported the latest damage to the Sport England/National Lottery funding sign at the entrance to the Squash club that is allegedly being replaced by the culprit’s father.
• Mandy asked how long this sign has to be displayed for, as the funding was granted a number of years ago and could potentially be taken down.
o ACTION – Mandy to enquire with Sport England.
4.5 - 50th Anniversary
• Posters kindly done by Martin Cowey are now on display around the Club and 100 tickets are due shortly, 25 of which are to be put behind the Bar for sale.
• Committee agreed past members should be given complimentary tickets.
o ACTION Mick and Mandy to compile list of past members and begin contact to confirm attendance.
• Committee agreed to cater for at least 100 people.
o ACTION Mandy to order buffet from CostCo.
• All donations for the raffle will be gratefully received.
4.6 - Club Executive Committee Feedback
• An issue with access being denied to the current Treasurer John Kilner to the Club bank account has now been resolved and outstanding bills have been paid.
• Crowd funding for the new Cricket nets is up and running and the Executive asked if the squash members could be made aware of this.

• Wine tasting event coming soon.
• Race Night was successful. (also confirmed by Mick B who attended).
• New main door fitted but glass etching (Boldon Cricket and Squash Club) missing.
