6 - BAR
Holidays have been bought from bar staff.
Chairs and stools for the bar have been bought and are in use.
Minimum wage is increasing by 10% (£11.44p/h) in April.
NI and PAYE was £56,000 last year.
Beer will increase from 4p to 10p per pint on popular brands. Club strategy will be just to cover increases. The bar still needs a member of staff to cover Saturday evening. Do we offer a premium for Saturday working (MS)? Do we need a steward? Do we rotate existing staff (JK)? Could LWC assist with purchasing new tills to make accounting easier?
7 - THE HUB
- To be based at Boldon CC? Is a purpose built sports hall a real possibility? How would the Church Commissioners view developments on their land? Archers’views to be taken into account. User groups would be cricket, tennis, archery, badminton, climbing. HUB TO PROVIDE MISSION STATEMENT.
8 - CRICKET
Nets are working well for all ages.
Marlon Black’s coaching has been successful so far. Anthony Brown to be thanked for organising paying for the net sessions, which are profitable so far.
The website developer on the pool team is willing to work on club website to include cricket.
9 - SQUASH
1st Team W8 L4 (3rd)
Teams 2/3/4 are all languishing near the bottom of their leagues. Hopefully there will be no relegations.
171 members.
Fulwell Ceilings has done work in the corridor behind courts 1&2.
Promotion of first team to Premier league will create an issue as they play on Thursday nights.
Club championship to run in April together with over 65 competition.
Defibrillator pads have been renewed. Current pads are for older children and adults. Do we need pads for 8 yr olds? Do we need a defibrillator unit outside? Power supply needed.
10 - MEMBERSHIPS

All halogen lights in function room are to be replaced with LEDs. Fluorescent lighting will also be replaced.
New card machines from DNA could save the club between £600 - £800 per year ( £50 down to £30 per chip and pin machine). Contact current suppliers and ask if they can match it (KF).
ECB are offering cricket club insurance for free (JK). ECB grants possible to install solar panels (Washington firm) (TP). All to be investigated.
