Income for July (£30,000) and August (£35,000), our busiest months, is up on last year (£186k against £175k)
Outgoings for August - Electric £1,525 (highest yet!) Gas £492 (To date this year Electric £8,849 Gas £6,573) VAT £6,800 PAYE £1,290. Pointing £5,696 ex VAT. Nets £3k VAT paid, to be offset from next VAT bill plus £1k from pointing.
5 - BAR
New booking form to be tried out.
Dunelm monitoring of alarms, we need to set out what we require.
A wedding has been requested for same weekend next year (26th/27th/28th July 2025). Is Sam Ellison able to coordinate?
6 - CRICKET
Last league games on 14/9.
1st team have won 2 cups. Junior teams have had a very competitive season.
U18 team won their league and cup competitions.
U15 team were 2nd and reached a cup final.
U13 team were 3rd.
U11 team were 4th.
U9 had 3 teams and improved a lot over the summer.
We have started a girls’ team with lots of positive feedback.
All-stars was once again popular over the summer. (It has been suggested we have 2 Sunday teams next year and possibly a social team.)
7 - SQUASH
148 members.
Winter leagues start next week with 4 teams.
Courts to be numbered.
Westoe friendly was cancelled – no team. Section is donating £200 to Westoe’s roof appeal fund.
8 - MEMBERSHIPS
- 45 social members.
9 - AOB
Club insurance has been renewed, reduced a bit by presence of Clubmark.
Electricity Certificate runs out soon (difficult to get a company to renew it).
KP Simpson, accounts have 2 queries.
Repairs required for exterior stairs, bar patio area, fencing around nets, exterior lights on drive, new cooker in kitchen (check electrics), field drainage. Exterior sign to squash courts (broken) to be replaced.
