4 - MATTERS ARISING/ACTION POINTS
4.1 - Action Point Update
4.4 (7/1/25) Marc – Completed. Work to begin 24th March and skip being brought by builder.

4.2 - Dashboard
Marc reported that court bookings are up 10% on last year.
He advised that £1,863.75 has been transferred to the Treasurer for court bookings. £237.50 in membership money transferred. Total transferred to the Treasurer is £2,101.25.
4.3 - Squash News
Club Championship Competition to begin 28th April. Final Saturday 10th May. Seeking volunteers to ‘shadow’ Kevin to learn how to run this competition.
Primrose Annual Challenge will take place on Saturday 17th May.
4.4 - Squash club maintenance/improvement
Glass-back Wall - Marc confirmed that funds are in place and the work will begin on 24th March.
Marc reported that he and Kevin had been discussing the possibility of replacing the squash entrance door with heavy-duty aluminium once the glass back wall is completed. ACTION Marc/Kevin – obtain brochure for Committee to peruse.
Cleaning - Problems again with blocked urinals, possibly due to cleaner disposing of buckets of dirty water in them. ACTION Marc – inform ST Council.
4.5 - Club Executive Committee Feedback (meeting 10th January)
Current account £15,500. Reserve account £65,500
£3k VAT bill due soon
£1400 each for Gas & Electricity
Function room refurbishment almost completed, including new boiler for this room only.
Patio to be installed from squash area to function room, including wall for ‘privacy’. Obtaining quotes.
Wedding arranged for July over 2 days. Club is charging £250 per day.
Bar prices increasing in April mainly due to staff wages.
New chairs and tables to be bought to supplement decent ones in function room.
Cricket – winter nets in use (Boldon CA). Also looking to undertake Girls Cricket Tournament this year.
Kevin has asked for container for storage for squash use only. Has identified some old ones that need removing from site.
5 - AOB
Marc is to ask the Executive Committee to consider getting a professional oven cleaner at least twice yearly now that the new oven is in full weekly use by Club members. ACTION Marc – raise proposal with Executive.
Kevin reported that he has priced a radiator with Seaburn Gas Services (SGS), to be installed on court 3 once the work is completed. The cost is £650.
