4.1 - Action Point Update

Marc advised that £1,395 has been transferred to the Treasurer for court bookings.
£241 in membership money transferred.

2025 Total transferred to Club is £29,574 (up on previous year).
4.3 - Squash News
Team Squash 2025-2026
- Marc reported that the first half of the season has been completed. Team results: Boldon 1 won 5 lost 3; Boldon 2 won 3 lost 5; Boldon 3 won 4 lost 4; Boldon 4 won 6 lost 3. Boldon 2 play Westoe 2 tonight (5th Jan). Boldon 4 game on 7th Jan has been put back to 4th March.
4.4 - Squash club maintenance/ improvement
- Kevin reported that a couple of complaints had been made that the new front door is not closing properly and has used WD40 to resolve this matter.
2026 ‘To Do’ List:
Agreed the bouncing floors in the corridors need to be fixed by a reputable joiner. Quotes to be sought and then agree which area to tackle first.
Agreed on redecoration of the squash club. Commercial painter to be sought.
Proposal made to update stairs and bannister – to be looked into further.
Further ideas on club improvements to be added at each meeting as and when feedback received from the Committee or members.
Members Feedback
- See point above regarding new entrance door.
Cleaning
- Kevin is to ask the cleaner to incorporate glass cleaning behind courts 1 and 2 into her schedule. Independent cleaner doing a good job, no problems to report.
4.5 - Club Executive Committee Feedback
- Meeting scheduled 15th December 2025 was postponed until tonight (5th Jan). Ian asked Marc to find out the date of the next Club AGM as he wishes to raise a matter. ACTION Marc – to ascertain date of AGM.
5 - AOB
Kevin reported that there is a problem with the squash defibrillator but the matter of service and repair needs to be raised with the Executive Committee. ACTION Marc – to raise matter at next Executive Meeting.
Kevin reported that the new front door is covered in football marks. ACTION Marc – to raise issue at next Executive Meeting.
Ian and Tracey both raised the problem of marks and chewing gum deposits on the new patio area around the squash entrance and the cricket stairs that should be addressed quickly. ACTION Marc – to raise matter at next Executive Meeting.
